Background

From engineering and field technology to regional commercial leadership and government programmes.
Since 2008, my work has focused on a recurring challenge: how to convert complex technical capability into something governments, institutions and commercial organisations can understand, procure, deploy and sustain.
My career has evolved from civil engineering, geomatics and 3D data acquisition to regional sales leadership, P&L ownership, market creation, strategic accounts and government technology programmes across Europe, Africa and the Gulf.
The journey
France · North Africa · West Africa · Middle East
My journey with Hexagon / Leica Geosystems began in France before expanding across North Africa and the Middle East.
In Morocco, I created and led a regional subsidiary covering North and West Africa, with responsibility for a multi-million-euro P&L and a multi-country team. The role combined market creation, strategic accounts, distribution, technical sales, organisational development and accountability for commercial performance.
This chapter established the leadership foundation that continues to shape my approach: understand the territory, build the right organisation, create local credibility and remain accountable for results.
Head of Sales, Middle East & Africa
At Wingtra, a Swiss mapping-drone company, I developed the commercial operation across the Middle East and Africa.
The mandate included regional go-to-market strategy, partner recruitment and enablement, strategic-account development, technical positioning and sales-team leadership. It required adapting a specialised technology to different procurement environments, customer expectations and indirect-sales models across a diverse territory.
The experience strengthened my ability to build a region from an early stage and connect product innovation with practical market execution.

Senior Manager – Business Development & Strategic Accounts, Smart Solutions
My current role within Smart Solutions combines business development and selected strategic-account responsibilities across complex geospatial and AI-enabled markets.
The laboratory and the classroom
Two chapters that predate the commercial track and shaped the way I work.
When 3D scanning entered crime scenes
Before markets, a laboratory. As R&D engineer at the IRCGN, the forensic research institute of the French Gendarmerie, I led the development of a 3D survey methodology for accident and crime scenes. Le Dauphiné libéré photographed this work at the Laffrey coach crash site in August 2007. A training book for Gendarmerie personnel accompanied the methodology, and the institute issued a recognition for this project in January 2008.

Teaching 3D laser scanning at my own engineering school
From 2009 to 2015, part-time, I lectured at ESTP, the construction engineering school I graduated from. Theoretical 3D laser scanning courses for final-year students, field application work, and the introduction of the Scan2CAD and Scan2BIM concepts, from point cloud to CAD and BIM models. More than 300 students trained over those six years.
